This Privacy Policy explains what personal information DailyAngler.com (“Daily Angler”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, and what choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run this website, understand how it’s used, and deliver the guides you buy.

1. Who is responsible for your data

2. Information we collect

When you browse the site. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data in server logs: IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring page, and date and time of the visit. These logs are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are kept for a limited time.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics, through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, how people arrive here, and what device and general location (country or region) they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information, including an online identifier and your IP address. We use this data in aggregate to improve our content. We do not use it to identify you personally.

When you contact us. If you email us or message our Facebook pages, we receive your name, your email address or profile, and the content of your message. We use this only to answer you and help you with your order.

When you buy a guide. Purchases are handled by Beacons, and payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We never see or store your full card or bank details. We receive your name, your email address and your order details so that we can deliver your guide, resend it if needed, and handle refunds or support requests.

We do not collect sensitive information, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. How we use your information

  • To operate, secure and improve this website
  • To measure traffic and understand which content is useful
  • To deliver the guides you purchase and provide customer support
  • To answer your messages and requests
  • To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud

For visitors in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (your purchase), our legitimate interest in running a secure website and answering messages, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it.

4. Cookies

This website uses two kinds of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, for security and caching. The site needs them to work.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (for example, cookies whose names start with _ga). They help us count visits and see how the site is used. Where the law requires it, these cookies are only set after you give your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We do not currently use advertising cookies. You can also block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across websites with Google’s official browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run this website and deliver your purchases:

Each of these providers handles your data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law. Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

6. How long we keep your information

Messages are kept as long as needed to help you. Order records are kept as long as needed to support your purchase and as required by tax and accounting laws. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which it is deleted automatically.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw any consent you gave. To make a request, email davecarrau@gmail.com. We will answer within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request to know what personal information we have collected about you and ask us to delete it.

EEA and UK residents. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

You can limit analytics tracking at any time with the opt-out options in section 4. We do not use advertising trackers that follow you across other websites.

9. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
